...creates ethereal music that skillfully blends elements of folk, jazz, and classical music.

Their songs meditate on the natural beauty of this earth we call home, with all the trees, birds, rivers and stories that blanket the land.

They are environmental activists, members of Communities for Conservation, and dedicate 20% of revenue they earn to conservation efforts around the world.

Erso’s music is produced under their own label: Nestbox Records, released on plantable Seedy CDs, and toured by bicycle. 

Erso is Veda Hingert-McDonald and Keenan Reimer-Watts.

Erso is grateful to live, work, and play in Kitchener-Waterloo, which is situated on the Haldimand tract. This land was promised to the Haudenosaunee people and is the ancestral land of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee of Six Nations Confederacy, Neutral/Attawandaron, and any other nations who have cared for the land, recorded or unrecorded. 

We also acknowledge all other caretakers of the land: the worms that turn the soil, the bees that pollinate the flowers, the trees that protect against erosion and filter our water, and we believe that the privilege of calling this land home comes with a great responsibility to care for it, and to leave it better than we found it.

Seedy CD's!

In our efforts to go Zero-Waste, we came up with a replacement for non-compostable merch - Seedy CD's! 

Below are pictures of our first album - the paper, when planted, grows into beautiful wildflowers: Bird’s Eye, Clarkia, Black Eyed Susan, Sweet Alyssum, Catchfly and Snapdragon! Our album can be your garden.

If you want to do this yourself, this is where we got ours from! Feel free to message us for more questions - we want to help artists reduce their waste - we hope that this catches on, replacing CD's with Seedy CD's, and ultimately making the planet more beautiful by creating less waste and more flowers!
